Windows and Dell shake RED hands
Windows and Dell have joined (RED) to help eliminate AIDS in Africa. When you buy a Dell (PRODUCT) RED PC with Windows Vista Ultimate (PRODUCT) RED, Windows and Dell will jointly contribute $50 to $80, depending on the product, to The Global Fund. With Windows Vista Ultimate (PRODUCT) RED, these aren’t just the ultimate PCs, they’re a powerful way to improve lives.
Very nice initiative from Microsoft to give, not receive. Well that’s the theoretical bit at least. A strongly based partnership with Dell would mean a steady line of Windows Vista sales, even without good old Bill calling the shots. It’s about $1,149 for a notebook (XPS M1330) to as much as $1,599 for a desktop (XPS One) including AIDS bit.
