Online vectorizing

If you are an eye-candy type of person you surely know the advantages of a vector image in comparison with raster. Raster images are pixel-based and they don’t scale very well. Loss of quality during scaling has illuminated the need for vector graphics. Vector images are not based on pixel units, they sum up only lines, curves and geometric shapes. Most people don’t know how to vectorize an image but the guys at Stanford dealt with that.

Their online conversion tool can switch a raster image to a vector one in no time. It’s a very powerful tool but it’s no match for all mighty  Adobe Illustrator.
