Adobe Photoshop hanging problem

Lately I encountered a devastating problem regarding my favorite image editing software, Adobe Photoshop CS 2. Whilst loading all settings and extras, Photoshop has a splash screen with some info regarding the process. It seems to stall at “Reading Text Global Resources… ” every time i load Photoshop.
How to fix this problem?
- Make sure you close all Photoshop instances, including a possible hidden one (whilst stalling) in process tab.
- Find “Adobe Photoshop CS Prefs.psp” localized in C:\Documents and Settings\*user\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop\8.0\Adobe Photoshop CS Settings\
* replace “user” with your implicit Windows user - Delete “Adobe Photoshop CS Prefs.psp” or rename it. The goal here is to modify it’s name or existence so Photoshop can’t find it.
- Start Photoshop and ideally nothing bad will happen.
